Before & After
Results after only one Peel. This patient suffered from post inflammatory hyperpigmentation secondary waxing on the upper lift.
A chemical peel will dramatically improve the quality, firmness, and tone of facial skin. Superficial peels are formulated with naturally-occurring organic chemicals. While a peel is non-surgical and non-invasive, these treatments must be administered by a board-certified skin specialist to ensure maximum comfort, safety, and restoration of beautiful, rejuvenated facial skin. After a peel your skin will appear years younger, supple, glowing, and firm.
A chemical peel is a technique to improve different skin conditions by exfoliating the outer layer of the skin. Different peels provide varying degrees of exfoliation. Medical-grade peels are formulated with various acids to remove dead, dull skin cells, and stimulate natural skin regeneration. Which peel is right for you? The first step is to evaluate your skin in a private consultation. The chemical peels available include:
A chemical peel can smooth skin texture by removing damaged outer layers. You may be a good candidate for this noninvasive procedure if you are unhappy with the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, unevenly-toned skin, aging skin, or facial scars. Chemical peels improve the appearance of acne scars, trauma scars, dark spots, and restore skin to a more youthful texture, tone, and supple quality.
A chemical peel is performed as an in-office procedure. Before the treatment, we will clean your skin and provide protection for your eyes. Your procedure will depend on the type of peel selected to enhance your skin—light, medium, or deep.
Light peel: Dr. Ostad will use a cotton ball, gauze, sponge, or brush to apply a chemical solution containing glycolic, salicylic, or other organic acids. You may feel a slight stinging sensation while the solution is on your skin. When the treatment is complete, we will wash your skin and apply a neutralizing solution to halt the reaction of the peel formula.
Medium peel: the doctor will use gauze or a cotton-tipped applicator to apply a solution containing trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to reach deeper skin layers. After a few minutes, cool compresses may be applied to soothe the treated skin. You may feel some stinging and burning for up to 20 minutes after the solution is applied.
Deep peel: Dr. Ostad will use a cotton-tipped applicator to apply carbolic acid (phenol), which breaks down proteins for intense skin regeneration. The treatment procedure may be performed in a series of phases, at 15-minute intervals.
Fire & Ice Facial: The legendary Fire & Ice Facial is designed to rapidly and safely resurface and rejuvenate the skin with little or no downtime. This professional treatment helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improves the look of uneven skin tone and blemish-prone skin, resulting in a more youthful complexion.

Light peels, performed regularly, can brighten the complexion and improve the overall condition of the skin. Medium peels remove surface imperfections and stimulate the production of proteins (including elastin and collagen) that give the skin its thickness and elasticity. A series of medium peels can improve the appearance of fine lines, rough texture, sun damage, and pigmentation irregularities, including freckles, age spots, and melasma. A deep peel can improve moderate to severe wrinkles and skin imperfections in a single treatment, but requires several weeks of recovery.
Chemical peels are often overlooked in the treatment of blemishes. In the hands of a qualified dermatologist, light peels can help minimize current breakouts and reduce oiliness that contributes to pimples. Medium peels can improve the appearance of shallow acne scars, and a deep peel can address significant acne scarring.
